11 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE: NCRDS JOURNEY AND ACHIEVEMENTS IN RHEUMATOLOGY
NCRD
For over a decade, National Center for Rheumatic Diseases (NCRD) has dedicated itself to advancing rheumatology in Nepal and beyond. As we celebrate 11 years of service, it’s a moment to reflect on our journey, our achievements, and our commitment to revolutionizing care for patients with rheumatic conditions.
Pioneering Diagnostics and Therapies in Rheumatology
NCRD stands out for introducing cutting-edge diagnostics and treatments, some of which were the first of their kind in the region. Here are some of the innovative solutions and tools we’ve brought to our patients and community:
- ENA Panel Testing: By using specialized ENA (Extractable Nuclear Antigen) panel tests, we’ve made strides in diagnosing complex autoimmune diseases. This diagnostic precision allows us to customize patient care and improve outcomes.
- Biological: NCRD is at the forefront of biologic treatments, a revolutionary class of drugs that target specific components of the immune system. By offering biologics, we help patients who previously had limited options achieve a better quality of life.
- Thermography: Our advanced thermographic imaging provides a non-invasive way to assess inflammation and other indicators in the musculoskeletal system. This tool complements our other diagnostics, providing a comprehensive view of each patient’s health.
- Nailfold Capillaroscopy (NFC): NFC allows us to visualize microvascular health and detect changes associated with systemic rheumatic diseases, particularly in early stages. This test has become integral to our proactive, preventive care approach.
- High-Frequency Power Doppler Musculoskeletal (MSK) Imaging: With state-of-the-art MSK imaging, we can assess soft tissues, joints, and inflammation with high accuracy, aiding in early diagnosis and precise treatment planning.
