Dr. Binit Vaidya is one of Nepal’s leading rheumatologists, dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of rheumatic and autoimmune diseases. As the Chairman and Head of Rheumatology at the National Center for Rheumatic Diseases (NCRD), he has played a pivotal role in advancing specialized rheumatology care, education, and research in Nepal.

After completing his MBBS from B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), Dr. Vaidya pursued his MD in Internal Medicine at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, followed by specialized Fellowship training in Rheumatology at Fortis Hospital, New Delhi. He has also received advanced professional training through the European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology (EULAR), reflecting his commitment to international standards of patient care and continuing medical education. He is also an international fellow member of the American College of Rheumatology and Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh. Over the years, Dr. Vaidya has been instrumental in transforming rheumatology services in Nepal by promoting early diagnosis, evidence-based treatment, multidisciplinary care, and patient education. Under his leadership, NCRD has grown into a dedicated center for rheumatic diseases, providing comprehensive clinical services, advanced diagnostics, research, education, and outreach programs for patients across the country. Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Vaidya is deeply involved in clinical research, academic training, and professional development. He has authored and co-authored numerous national and international scientific publications and actively contributes to research focused on rheumatoid arthritis, gout, lupus, spondyloarthritis, vasculitis, and other autoimmune diseases. His work continues to contribute to improving rheumatology care both within Nepal and internationally.
