Health Camp

NCRD has been conducting free health camps since 5 years in collaboration with local partners and different organizations in many urban and rural areas of Nepal. Its main aim is to bring awareness and spread knowledge about the rheumatic diseases.

Altogether 37 camps have been conducted in 2018 where more than 3500 peoples were benefited from the camp. The information about the free camp was sent out to the respective areas a week ahead of the camp. Few blood tests were carried out for free (CRP, ESR, Uric acid and Rheumatoid factor) which are the basic tests for the screening of rheumatic diseases.

The main highlight of these camps was the talk given by the doctors to educate the public about symptoms, diagnosis, health effects, preventive measures and treatment options about the disease.
